mom and pop multimedia

these pieces crack me up. i had to post them to show the world what a proud daddy i am. my four year old daughter, alanna, found her way back to the craft bins in our house and decided to make herself some art. no help from mom or dad whatsoever, and thats what's so cool about these - uninhibited, honest, and totally her.
the first piece is "mom", lavishly ornate. true to form. her mom is a beauty. the second is me, "dad", pokey hair and plain, but goofy.

upon seeing these i immediately remembered a multimedia piece that the musician Beck did (the most under-appreciated musician/artist to ever walk the earth). i'm not saying much for his art, but my daughter's work is strikingly similar.

She's only 4? Look how perfect those are! I couldn't even do that if I wanted to because I would have to try, that's what's so great about them. They made me laugh. Those need to be framed for sure, and I'm with you all the way on Beck... pure talent.
