running away from the norm, running backwards and grasping what shouldn't be forgotten, holding on to timeless beauty and nestling into nostalgia...i have recently added an 8mm camera as part of my photo-artillery.

this particular film was shot in one day. all filmed in sequence, and is uncut. holding true to the purity of that lovely stuff called...film.

I have an 8mm camera, but I am not sure if it runs at the proper speed. Where do you process the film?
i purchase my film from pro8mm in CA, they ship it to me, i shoot it, i mail it back to them and they develop it. then i have a local guy (SLC) transfer the developed negs to digital format.
lovely. expensive but lovely. (the film you just watched ran me about $50)
Wow. You should offer that as a part of your photo packages...Can you imagine how awesome the right wedding would look on 8mm? Amazing stuff.

A few years ago, I bought an 8mm film camera at a thrift store and I just discovered it still works. I really want to take my kids out to the field- the one below the old house we both grew up in- the field I spent so much time playing in... and film them playing there. btw, we are trying to purchase the land below the old house and build our home there {eventually}.
